Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect and why

  • Invite form: your name, WhatsApp number, when you would like to visit and your language. We use them only to reply to your request and arrange your first visit. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).
  • WhatsApp: if you write to us, we process your number and the messages you send, for the same purpose. WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland) processes your data under its own privacy policy.
  • Membership: when you join at reception you fill in a paper or digital membership form. We check your identity document because membership is for adults only; that data is processed under the association's statutes and Spanish association law and is not collected through this website.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when the fonts are downloaded.

How long we keep it

Invite requests are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless you become a member, in which case your data is kept for as long as you are a member and afterwards for the periods required by law.

Who receives your data

Nobody outside the association, except the service providers we need to run the website and reply to you (Netlify for hosting and form handling, Meta for WhatsApp). We never sell or share data for advertising. Some of these providers are established in the United States and process data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its processing and request portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to hello@magalufweedclub.com, on WhatsApp +34 669 033 299 or to the address above. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
